Tax Status

Breast pumps are not taxable in Rhode Island.

HB 7867 was introduced on March 4, 2022 and SB 2603 was introduced on March 10. Both bills passed the Rhode Island General Assembly (RELATING TO TAXATION--SALES AND USE TAXES--LIABILITY AND COMPUTATION) and the governor signed legislation exempting breast pumps from sales tax effective October 1, 2022.
